Session title: Leadership Foundations
Subtitle option: Practical tools for leading a team well
Leadership Foundations gives leaders a practical starting point for how they show up, protect their time, communicate, and hand off work. The session runs on discussion and real practice rather than lecture, and every tool connects back to the same thing: leading a crew well. Participants build the first draft of their own leadership brand, learn to separate what actually happened from the story they told themselves about it, take back control of their calendar, and delegate in a way that builds ownership instead of bottlenecks. They walk out with habits they can put to work the next morning.
What you'll take away
- How to build a leadership brand your team trusts — and why how you show up as a leader is different from how you show up as a person
- A tool for separating facts from assumptions, so decisions get made on what happened rather than the story you filled in
- Clarity on when you do your best work, why multitasking is a myth, and how timeboxing gives you your day back
- A practical model for delegation that hands work off in a way that builds ownership instead of creating bottlenecks
- A shared language for communicating across generations, personalities, and roles — so people work with each other instead of around each other
